Actually, we knew of that piece of news. The issue here is that, the guy claims that this faulty international link is due to a marketing ploy. I find him ignorant at best. Not sure about if Telekom is getting enough revenue to support itself. Although, they did register a profit during the final year of 2004.

People who are ignorant of ADSL techonology will say this. ADSL uses the existing phone line network. Thus we are sharing the limited bandwith provided with that sort of cabling. Malaysia haven't actually replaced existing cables with fibre optics everywhere. Therefore, they usually cap your uploads and downloads at their side of the connection. Although, some people said there is a trick to uncap at your side of the connection by modifying your ADSL modem's software. Not so sure about that. Nevertheless, the guy is ignorant of the basic networking you learn in school. Go read a book mate.
